Description
Much of my work examines the intersection of the natural and the synthetic. Within a metropolitan landscape, these two things prove not to be mutually exclusive. The sheer magnitude of a city's structure not only affects the environment but also the spacial/temporal perception of its inhabitants. This distortion of space/time as well as the convergence of the natural and the synthetic indicates a sort of simulation humankind has imposed on itself, a simulation that presents control over an environment as connection to it.
Through photography, I seek not only to document my own understanding of this simulation, but also to challenge it by subverting societal expectations of how I should be operating within it.
